FLAMES COMMUNITY ARENA













Our adventure begins at the Flames Community Arena (FCA) in the Stew Fairbanks Coaching Resource Room.  FCA is home to Glenlake Minor Hockey Club, Trailswest Hockey Association and the Mount Royal University Men's and Woman's Hockey Program.  FCA will be our drop off and pick up location. 

Calgary is our classroom.  What makes ProStart really special is our commitment to researching and exploring the city to support our curriculum.  We use our mobility to access additional expertise, libraries, sport facilities, museums, playgrounds, nature and outdoor spaces for your son.  This is not only a tremendous engagement strategy for a boy, but it creates meaningful and diverse experiences which develops problem solving skills, teamwork, and vocabulary to further support our literacy curriculum.  These diverse experiences provide extensive background knowledge and develop skills related to safety protocols and routines which supports the development of the prefrontal cortex and prepares boys for the school environment.

As a former Outdoor Education Coordinator at a private school, I have lots of experience transporting students and driving a twenty-four seat bus to various locations within and outside the city limits.  I have a perfect driving record and experience with emergency situations.  We transport the students to all locations.  Parents are welcome to meet us at any of the locations and participate.  Please have your police check/vulnerable sector verification completed and submitted to ProStart.  If there is an expense for the parent related to the activity, parents are responsible for this expense.  If there is room on the bus, parents are also welcome to be on the bus as long as their police check/vulnerable sector verification is complete and submitted.
