Discipline comes from the Latin word "disciplinare," which means, "to teach."  We fully expect some behaviour to be inconsistent with what schools expect so our approach is not only a compassionate and understanding approach, but an educational approach to prepare boys for the school environment.

Live Above the Line
All behaviour will be defined as either above or below the line.

Proactive
Our program is designed to keep boys Active, Challenged & Engaged or "ACE."

Priming Technique
The boys will be very active every day which will prime them for academic time.

Connection
Our staff will work to develop a connection with your son.  The trust developed between our staff and the boys will be crucial for supporting and maintaining good behaviour.

Communication
Communication is crucial for teaching and learning.  We want to model correct behaviour and ensure good behaviour is reinforced and praised.

Transitioning
Staff will periodically prepare boys for transitioning to a new activity with verbal cues and timers when applicable.

Discipline

Articulation
If necessary, student may be removed calmly from an activity and
positively guided to articulate appropriate situation-specific behaviour.

Team Approach
We include parents in order to promote consistency in the school and home environment.  We openly communicate with parents about Above and Below the Line behaviour so it can be addressed or reinforced at home.

Compassionate
We get boys.  We understand that a boy's prefrontal cortex takes many years to develop. We have significant experience addressing, managing and altering behaviours to best prepare your son for school, sport and life.
